What we do

Clever Animal recruits and places AI specialists (such as AI Operators and AI Engineers) into client companies. Our role is recruiting, not employment. The talent we place is hired directly by you, the client, on terms agreed between you and the talent.

Fees and payment

Discovery deposit. The deposit you pay to start a search is refundable if we cannot present candidates who meet the must-have requirements we agree on with you up front. If we deliver candidates who meet what was agreed and you decline to move forward, the deposit covers our search costs and is not refundable. If you hire, the deposit is applied to the placement fee.

Recruiting fee. Charged at the rate published on the site for the role you select. Pricing terms and billing cadence are confirmed in writing before any placement begins.

Salary.You pay the talent's salary directly, on terms agreed between you and the talent.

Replacement guarantee. If the placement does not work out within six months of start date for reasons within our reasonable control, we will source a replacement at no additional recruiting fee.

What we are not

We are not the employer of the talent we place. We do not pay their salary, handle their taxes or benefits, or manage their day-to-day work. After placement, the working relationship is between you and the talent.

Acceptable use of the site

Don't use the site to attempt unauthorized access, abuse the AI analyzer or any other endpoint, scrape content at high volume, or post unlawful content. We may rate-limit, block, or terminate access if we detect abuse.

Liability

The site and services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clever Animal LLC's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.

Termination

You may stop using the site or services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or via a notice on the site. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State where Clever Animal LLC is registered, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction.
